We are glad to announce the immediate availability of a new feature called dependency. Dependency is an optional setting where you can define the relationship between 2 tests.
For example, if you monitor a server with PING, HTTP, and POP3, you might may want to specify that both HTTP and POP3 are dependent on PING. When the entire server is down, you will only receive notification for PING, whereas those for HTTP and POP3 are suppressed.
Another useful situation is when you have multiple servers linked to a core switch/router and you don't want to receive notifications of these servers when the switch/router is down.
